Meeting with Chief of Defence Republic of Lithuania
Chief of Defence Republic of Lithuania, Lieutenant General Arvydas POCIUS and the President CISM Europe, PhD. Colonel Mesut Cerit discussed about different perspectives of development of military sports in Europe. Addressing to Mesut Cerit, Lieutenant General Arvydas POCIUS stated his hope that European conference carrying out will promote the activation of cooperation in the field of military sports in the European continent.

Meeting in the Ministry of Defense
In the Ministry of Defense of Belarus the meeting between the chief of the Joint Staff of Armed forces — the first deputy of the Minister of Defense of Belarus ,Major General Peter Tihonovsky and the President of the International council of military sports across Europe Colonel Mesut Cerit took place.
During the meeting different perspectives of development of military sports in Europe have been discussed. Addressing to Mesut Cerit, Peter Tihonovsky stated his hope that European conference carrying out will promote the activation of cooperation in the field of military sports in the European continent. Solemn ceremony of opening of the European conference of the International Military Sports Council has taken place on November, the 18th.
The forum in the Republic of Belarus has been also attended by the delegation representatives of the European Liaison Office, and delegations of 29 European Nations namely Austria, Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina,Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland,Turkey, Ukraine.

The International Military Sports Council, known as the acronym "CISM", is an international sports association composed of the armed forces of member nations accepted by the General Assembly. CISM Europe is recognized as a strong part of CISM. The implementation of an international military sport structure started in Europe. The continent has therefore a long tradition when it comes to organizing and participating in CISM events and competitions. Europe is a main contributor of opportunities for CISM to reach its goals. Europe is well developed in its sports infrastructure. Our nations has a long and broad experience in facilities for sports, this also applies to the military sport infrastructure. Our member countries have good facilities for physical training, education, sports for all and competitions. The possibilities for travelling across Europe are good. This gives possibilities for a rich exchange of athletes, training and competitions.............................>
